Spacious, stress and tension free neck and shoulder area.
If you tend to hold a lot of stress and tension in your neck and shoulders, this workshop will teach you how to keep that area healthy, strong and spacious.
Your neck is the only place that connects your brain to the rest of the body.
- When the muscles in the neck return to their natural relaxed state, it improves circulation. The blood vessels that go through the neck carry oxygen and nutrients to your brain, they also carry out toxins and waste products out of it. When we release tension from tight neck muscles, when we lengthen them, we improve blood flow to and from the brain. This process has a healing affect on your brain, your whole body and your mind.
- As we relax tension in the neck, it also improves neck's alignment and helps the nerves that go through be affective at transmitting signals. When we relax tight muscles and prevent them from pinching the nerves, the neck, shoulders and even arms feel better. When muscles in the neck are stronger, they are better at absorbing shock from any impact activity, such as walking. Thus the stress goes to the muscles and not the joints, making muscles even stronger and minimizing wear and tear on the cartilage in the neck. As a result it will be literally easier to hold head on top of the spine.

-massage out any knots and muscle adhesions that create stiffness

Join us for a Yoga practice (starting at 10:30) at a grand opening event hosted by a well known pediatrician, our neighbor and friend Dr. Tanya. There will be kids concert by BabyBuds, food and drinks from local stores and a raffle. Some of the participating companies are Fresh Brothers, Suja, Ergobaby, Tot Squad and more. Last Saturday we had a wonderful community yoga practice on the lawn by the creek, right by our yoga studio. There is something so refreshing about moving and stretching outside in nature, breathing cool morning air, being surrounded by friends, listening to beautiful music. It was so enjoyable that we decided to organize this class on a regular basis, every two weeks. Everyone is welcome to join! If you didn't attend last Saturday, we missed you and hope to see you Saturday the 4th. We are grateful to everyone who offered gifts and gift cards to our first outside yoga class raffle. The prizes included in the raffle were from Sunlife Organics, Lululemon, Erich Schiffmann, Flowering Sol, Nuuvo salon and Fit Core Smart Moves.

Yinyasa yoga is a combination of Vinyasa and Yin yoga. It is a blend that combines the benefits of the two styles to melt and release tension, stretch, strengthen and relax the body and bring peace to the mind.
